Whitegate Refinery
In July 2016 Irving Oil, which operates the largest oil refinery in Canada, acquired the Whitegate Refinery, formerly owned by Phillips 66.
It comprises three business segments, the Whitegate Refinery, Ireland's only refinery, a wholesale marketing business and the Bantry Bay Terminal.
The refinery processes light, low-sulfur crude oil sourced mostly from the North Sea, North Africa and West Africa.
