Green Isle Foods
Green Isle Foods, established in 1982, is the leading Irish frozen food company, and a fast growing supplier to major UK retailers. Employing over 600 people in Ireland, it produces a range of frozen vegetables, pastry products and fish lines under the Green Isle and Donegal Catch brands, as well as retailers' own labels.
Green Isle Foods was part of the UK-based 2 Sisters Food Group, but was sold in 2019 to an Irish consortium, lead by former Largo Foods executives Maurice Hickey and Ray Coyle. The Government-backed Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) emerged as the biggest investor in the deal, thought to have been worth more than €50m.
