Bank of America has maintained a presence in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region since 1922. Bank of America employs over 8,350 people in Europe with approximately 800 employed in Ireland in Dublin.
In 2012 it agreed to sell its Irish based credit card arm, MBNA, to Apollo Global Management.
