Vodafone Group is one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies and provides a range of services including voice, messaging, data and fixed communications.
Vodafone Group has mobile operations in 24 countries, partners with mobile networks in 42 more, and fixed broadband operations in 19 markets. As of 31 December 2019, Vodafone Group had approximately 625 million mobile customers and 27 million fixed broadband customers.
Since coming to Ireland in 2001, Vodafone has continued be the single biggest investor in new technology in the Irish telecoms industry with over €2 billion invested to date. Vodafone Ireland is a total communications provider with over 2.3 million customers across its mobile, landline, broadband and TV services.
Vodafone’s mobile network was ranked number one for both voice and data in a recent national benchmark for the fifth year in a row. Vodafone was also first in Ireland to launch their next-generation 5G network in 2019.
