Staycity Group
Staycity Group is a privately held company offering quality short- and long-term lettings in central city locations. The Dublin-based company was founded in 2004 by Tom Walsh and his brother Ger starting with a single apartment in Dublin’s Temple Bar. It now operates over 5,000 apartments across five European countries with expansion taking it to 15,000 apartments by 2027. At the end of 2020 Staycity announced a €70m debt and equity refinancing with the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) committing €7m and a 14% stake in the business. In addition Staycity secured a €33m loan from UK bank OakNorth enabling it to emerge from the pandemic fully capitalised and in a strong position to be able to continue with its European expansion plans.
