Northwest Bookmakers
Northwest Bookmakers is a subsidiary of Ladbrokes Holdings (NI) which is itself a subsidiary of parent company Ladbroke plc. After a purchase in 2007, the company amalgamated the betting businesses owned by Eastwoods and McCartans.
Ladbrokes owns 79 betting shops in Northern Ireland under the brand Northwest Bookmakers and is also the largest bookmaker in Northern Ireland with 25% of shop licenses.
The company has previously stated that revenue in its shops come from over the counter betting on football, horse racing, greyhound racing and other sports. It also operates online and mobile services, as well as telephone betting.
