Bostik
Number 3 in the world in adhesives and an asset of French oil company Total since 1990, Bostik develops high-performance and sealing solutions for the non-woven, industrial, construction and consumer markets.
Arkema offered to buy Bostik in September 2014 for €1.74bn, the sale of which was finalised in 2015.
Bostik has been manufacturing adhesive and sealing products in Ireland since 1955 under the name Evode Industries Limited and operated from a custom built factory before moving to the present seven-acre site in Swords. Evode formally changed its name to Bostik Industries Ltd in 2010.
