Beacon Hospital
The Beacon Hospital is a private hospital located in Sandyford in South Dublin. The hospital was opened in 2006. It is staffed by 200 consultants and 600 other medical professionals. It has 183 acute care beds and treated 96,000 patients in 2014.
In April 2014, it was reported that Denis O'Brien had taken over the hospital from its previous owners, UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). Pre-tax losses totalled €8.7m in 2014.
